You’ve finally finished a sink load of dishes, given the muddy dog a bath, or poured dirty mop water out into your sink or tub. Ready to wash your hands of the task and be on your way, you glance back and notice that the water is simply refusing to drain.
There are a lot of reasons your drain may be sluggish, but before you give your helpful professionals at Eyman a call, let’s see if we can troubleshoot them together.
I know it sounds simple, but it takes only a small obstruction to stop that narrow pipe from emptying efficiently. Hard water buildup and everyday organic, debris can be dissolved with a solution of ½ cup of baking soda, 1 cup of very hot water, and 1 cup of white vinegar. Pour the baking soda into your drain and allow it to settle. Next, add your hot water and vinegar solution. Put your drain stopper in place if you have one and wait approximately 10 minutes. Remove any obvious debris and flush one more time with hot water.
If this doesn’t achieve your desired result, a clean plunger can be employed to help dislodge the offending matter.
If you are still seeing an issue, it may be time to call in the pros.
Eyman employs cameras to identify the problem and high pressure water jetting to force large obstructions out of your way. We can even remove tree roots that may have grown into your pipes. With 60 decades of experience, there isn’t a drain problem too big or too small, and we are ready to answer your call!
