March 8th is International Women’s Day. It’s a day where we acknowledge the contributions women have made, especially in fields where they weren’t always welcome, and thank those who have helped pave the way. How fitting that it happens to coincide with National Women in Construction Week? In 2014, statistics showed that only 8.9% of the construction workforce was comprised of women.
Karli Meisinger [of Karli’s Corner] has done amazing things as our Project Manager and Estimator. Beyond our walls, she is also President of the local chapter for National Association of Women in Construction. For information about joining, visit NAWIC’s Local Chapter

For the rest of this week, NAWIC will host events for Women in Construction. If this is you, or something you aspire to, this is an excellent opportunity to show up and surround yourself with knowledgeable, inspiring women within the field.
