Usually, a call to Eyman ends in a repaired system. Our techs are fully educated and trained to work on all makes and models. If it can be fixed, we’re on the job! Here are 5 reasons your call might end in a suggestion to replace your HVAC
Poor Air Quality
Nobody’s standards for your family are higher than yours. Air quality standards have been set by government agencies, and have changed a lot in the last 20 years. If your system hasn’t been evaluated, the quality of the air in your home may not be up to the best standards.
As we mentioned above, air quality standards have changed a lot in the last several decades. If your system is part of a very old home, it’s possible that it is no longer functioning to safe standards. Additionally, some very old parts can no longer be ordered, meaning that try as we might to repair your system, the necessary parts may be no longer available. As your unit ages, it runs into more and more problems, requiring more and more repairs. Eventually, the cost and risk of maintaining it outweighs the cost of replacement.
If your HVAC isn’t running smoothly, it’s costing you efficiency. This can cause a rise in your utility bills and become a drain on the environment.
Cost of Repair
Every unit comes with a certain amount of upkeep and maintenance. If, however, you find yourself paying for routine breakdowns instead of routine maintenance, you are paying too much. If your seasonal clean and check always turns up a new problem, it may be time to consider moving on. Updating your system could save you on utilities, as well as frequent fix-it calls. Be sure to check your warranty if your system is new and frequently malfunctioning. You may be able to have it repaired or replaced at little to no cost!
We aren’t Feng Shui artists, but we do know a little about flow. That is, the way air flow can be affected by home remodels.
