Employees who stick with Eyman Plumbing, Heating & Air take pride in their work and want the company to succeed, said Christina Navarro, its human resource specialist.
“Those who have been here for a while have found their place here,” Christina said.
She said the company has its “Help Wanted” sign out.
She noted Eyman continues to grow, which makes it an exciting time to be part of the team.
“And every single employee is a part of that growth and success.”
Not just a number
Christina also said Eyman is committed to remaining small and streamlined so its employees won’t feel like just numbers.
“We promise our employees we’ll always know their names,” she said. “We’ll know what you do and how long you’ve shared your lives with us.”
She said the company also is interested in its employees’ families, their ups and downs, and their achievements.
“We sincerely hope employees stick with us until they’re ready to retire.”
She said the company’s longevity and experience make it attractive to potential employees.
“Eyman is a well-known and respected name. It helps that we’re considered ‘the big guys’ in the area’s plumbing industry,” Christina said. “We continue to grow every year so employees can be confident Eyman’s here to stay.”
Respect and tradition
The Eyman family still puts family first. They’re very flexible so their employees can balance home and work.
Christina said the atmosphere at Eyman is that of a big family. She admires the traditional Eyman lunches.
“Every day around noon, the office is filled with delicious aromas,” she said. “The Eymans will close the lunch room doors and share this meal together. The owners know their elderly mother treasures these traditional lunches – after all, it’s been her routine for nearly 60 years.”
All the employees respect this tradition. They give the Eymans privacy until they finish.
Uncommon employee benefits
Christina said the Eymans give their workers some uncommon benefits.
“The casual dress and atmosphere is great. Jeans every day allow for a relaxed and comfortable workday,” she said.
There are also office dogs that help employees relieve stress and to make tough decisions. Treats are often brought and left by the coffee pot to share.
