Eyman customer Patty Garner said she’s used Eyman Plumbing several different times.
“The first was after we had a different plumber. He said we had a big problem from outside the house to the street,” Patty said. “We wanted a second opinion, so I had Eyman come out.”
She said the Eyman technician confirmed she had a problem, one that meant the yard would be dug up and pipes replaced. But they gave Patty a better estimate.
“Scott Eyman personally came out and worked with me. He made my husband and me aware of all the necessary steps involved,” she said. “The work was done properly and it was a good experience.”
That was in 2011.
Second time around
In 2012, Patty called Eyman again. Actually, this time her husband made the call. He had a business rental property with a issue like their house had in 2011.
“There was a problem that needed to be dug up and corrected. Eyman gave my husband information he wouldn’t have known otherwise,” Patty said.
It turned out the line of pipe ran in all different directions. But the Eyman staff said it would be better to straighten it from one end to the other.
“It was kind of a maze and they suggested doing a straight shot,” Patty said. “Basically, it cost us less money and turned out to be a good experience.”
Third incident
The most recent incident happened earlier this year. Patty said her brother hired a different plumbing company and it was “a nightmare.”
“They tore up the inside of his house to replace some plumbing. So they got that done and a week later they had to be called back because something was wrong from the house to the street,” Patty said.
“When they came back, they said they couldn’t get their camera through the pipe because of roots. They told my brother they were afraid if they drilled out the roots, there would be a flood in the back of his house.”
She said this company told her brother he had to dig up the back of his house. For an additional $2,500. Patty called Eyman. They came out, scoped the line and got the weeds out. Her brother hasn’t had any more problems.
“The other company dug up the house inside and fixed some piping,” she said, “but then didn’t bother to go to the street to check things out.”
Consistent over time
Patty feels Eyman’s people are honest and trustworthy. She said they explain what they need to do and work with you.
She went so far as to send a thank-you note to the company after her brother’s problems because she was so relieved.
Patty said she’s never had a plumber she trusted and recommended until now.
“They’re my go-to guys. Even since this last incident, I’ve had them come clean a drain at our rental property again,” Patty said.
“It’s maintenance work you need to do, so you might as well call someone who‘s going to be honest.”
